Working on a new Chapter? Wanting to develop as a presenter? Ready to test your ideas with peers? Then we would love to hear from you!
The Postgraduate Forum at the Centre for Eighteenth Century Studies, University of York, is a fortnightly term time event that offers a welcoming platform for Master's and PhD students to share their research and analysis. We particularly welcome papers from first time speakers wanting to air newly developed work, or works-inprogress.
We are accepting proposals of no more than 250 words, for papers between 25-30 minutes in length, and which address any aspect of the long eighteenth-century (1660-1850).
Thanks to the generous funding from CECS we are able to offer travel support for postgraduate speakers from other universities. Travel bursaries will be awarded on merit. Please indicate in your application if you would like to be considered.
Please send abstracts along with a short bio to Holly Day (hd952@york.ac.uk), Sharon Choe (sc1120@york.ac.uk) and Kurt Baird (kjb554@york.ac.uk) by November 25, 2019.
