Posted on 4 September 2015

Dr Danijela Trenkic has been elected President of the European Second Language Association (EuroSLA)

EuroSLA is a society for scholars with interest in second language research. It showcases the best work in the field through its annual conference, its publications (Yearbook and Monograph series) and award schemes for both distinguished and early-career researchers.

Danijela has a 16-year track record with EuroSLA, and already served two terms as secretary. She organised two successful EuroSLA conferences, in Edinburgh 2003, and last year in York. She sits on the editorial boards of the EuroSLA Yearbook and Monographs series, has been on the scientific committee for all EuroSLA conferences since 2010, and has been involved as presenter, discussant or session chairs in most conferences since 1999.

Danijela said: “I am excited to serve as president of the organisation that has given me some of the most stimulating and enjoyable moments of my career, as well as many long-lasting friendships.”
