Early modern revenge tragedy focus

Posted on 10 October 2014

Professor John Jowett, Deputy Director of the Shakespeare Institute and a visiting researcher at the Humanities Research Centre at York, contributed to undergraduate seminars on early modern revenge tragedy and Shakespeare's The Tempest.

John participated in lively question and answer sessions with second and third year students on early modern genres and theatres, designed to complement and expand on their BA English in Education programme.

John is a general editor of the Oxford Complete Works of Shakespeare and Arden Early Modern Drama series, and the author of Shakespeare and Text.

Those not studying English in Education can attend his CREMS seminar on Thursday 20 November, 5pm in BS/008.
