International conference on Educating young people about sex

CRESJ member Dr Vanita Sundaram co-organised an international conference at Masaryk University

The conference on Educating young people about sex: addressing issues of gender, sexuality and diversity was hosted by Centre for Research on Education and Social Justice (CRESJ), University of York and Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk Universit, between April 11-13  2014.

35 delegates from over 10 different countries attended the conference, making it a truly international event and enabling sharing of experiences and knowledge from the global North and South.

Two of the delegates, including the keynote speaker, are working with Dr Sundaram on an international collection of cutting-edge sex and relationships education research, which will look at links between research and international policy directions. Further details will be posted as the work develops.
