Hungry Mind Lab study on Covid-19 and children's language development

Researchers from the Department of Education’s Hungry Mind Lab have conducted a study looking into the effects of lockdown on children's language development.

The research looks into how the so-called “language gap” has widened since the Covid-19 pandemic, highlighting inequalities between family incomes and the resources available to provide rich learning opportunities for their children.
