Clémentine Beauvais announced as French translator of J.K. Rowling's new novel

J.K. Rowling's new children's novel The Ickabog is currently coming out for free in instalments with the French version, being published by Gallimard in book form in November.

The book will be available in both printed and ebook formats and available in French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and English with ClĂ©mentine Beauvais translating into French.

Clémentine is a lecturer in English in Education at the Department of Education, and a children's author and translator. She is the French translator of Carnegie-medal winners Sarah Crossan and Elizabeth Acevedo, and has translated two novels by Meg Rosoff.

She teaches children's literature, creative writing and literary translation in education at York, and researches the theory and practice of literary translation in the classroom.
