The Department of Education hosted a conference on Universities Supporting Survivors of Sexual Violence to communicate and discuss the findings of recent research projects funded by the European Commission, the ESRC Impact Acceleration Account fund, and HEFCE. The conference presented the USVreact training programme developed at the University of York, which educates university staff on how to respond to disclosures of sexual violence. We also heard from five partner institutions who have delivered the York model at their respective universities, as part of whole-institution work to improve support for survivors and develop more inclusive, respectful learning and working environments. Principal investigator Prof. Vanita Sundaram said: "This conference presented a great opportunity to showcase work being done at York as well as to extend discussions about the ways in which universities should address sexual violence on a national level." The conference was attended by 70 delegates from institutions across the UK and was funded by the ESRC IAA.
