Leverhulme youth activism conference call for papers

Posted on 12 October 2018

A call for papers for a conference on youth activism, engagement and the development of new civic learning spaces--to be held in Budapest, Hungary from 25-27 June 2019-- is now live.

The conference grows out of the work of a team of international researchers, including CRESJ’s Ian Davis and Wendy Burns, who were awarded a Leverhulme Network Grant to explore how and why youth civic activism is changing, and what the implications of these changes are. This will be the culmination of the project, a three-year-long endeavour that began in 2016. Since the conference is part of Leverhulme’s aim to foster international networking, there will be no registration fee.

The team welcomes submissions for full paper presentations, panel symposiums, and roundtable facilitators, as well as applications from people working in academia as well as in relevant policy areas. To learn more about the conference and how to apply, please visit the Youth Activism conference and call for papers page.

The application window closes at noon on Friday 7 December 2018.
