WasteValor was an engagement project focused on creating economic value from food waste, which drew on extensive expertise in chemistry and biology as well as significant experience working with businesses. We offered our clients both practical advice in short term projects and the possibility of competitive advantage through longer-term research activities. The latter allowed us to act as an outsourced R&D department for our clients to help them develop new products and services based on valorised food waste.

WasteValor was part funded by the European Regional Development Fund, enabling us to offer small scale projects or “business assists” at no cash cost to our clients.

WasteValor was a joint project between SCY and the Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence. It was funded by the ERDF via DCLG.
