Biography

I am a social researcher working in the civil service, where I manage research projects, alongside completing my PhD in Social Policy.

I have previously worked in the substance misuse sector, and part of my role involved assisting clients navigate the benefit system.  This piqued my interest in the topic, and having read Professor Kevin Farnsworth's work on corporate welfare, I became interested in the relationship between the two.

I also hold a Masters degree in Politics and an MRes in Social Policy, and have taught seminars for the former Department of Social Policy, the University's Centre for Lifelong Learning, and the Realising Opportunities programme.
