Dr Kiet Duong is a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance, joining the School for Business and Society in December 2021. He has previously worked as a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the Huddersfield Business School, University of Huddersfield. Prior to this, he has held different roles such as an Assistant Lecturer in various Accounting and Finance modules, and a tutor in Mathematics and Statistics at University of Essex. He has also worked as an exam paper tester for the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Before becoming an academic, Dr Kiet Duong has industry experience working for a commercial bank and a non-profit organisation. Dr Kiet Duong obtained his MSc in Finance and PhD in Finance at the Essex Business School, University of Essex. His research areas include corporate finance, corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, CEO/board director characteristics and stock liquidity. Particularly, he also expands his research interests to Accounting, Banking and Management topics such as bank risk, corporate (voluntary) disclosure, CSR reporting, climate change and board diversity/female directors. He welcomes research collaborations, and he is interested in supervising PhD candidates in his research interests.

Specifically, he is interested in the impact of CEO personality traits on corporate policies, CEO/director social network and board characteristics. His research interests also can collaborate with different disciplines in Finance, Accounting, Management, Tourism and Higher Education.
