Profile

Biography

Yoo Jung Ha is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in International Business. Yoo Jung holds a PhD (Alliance Manchester Business School, UK), an MPhil (University of Oxford, UK) and a MA and BA (Ewha Womans University, South Korea).

Before joining School for Business and Society in August 2023, she taught at Sheffield University Management School as a Lecturer in International Business Strategy. She previously held visiting scholar positions at Rikkyo University, Keio University, and Waseda University, all in Japan. Other work experiences include positions at the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy, a government ministry in South Korea, and the International Labour Organization.

Research

Overview

Her research focuses on multinational enterprises, innovation, and inter-organisational collaboration. She is also interested in sustainability, the automotive sector, and business in South Korea and Japan. Her recent work has been published in such journals as British Journal of Management, Industrial & Corporate Change, and Journal of Business Research.

She received a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Fellowship (2022-23), a British Academy/Leverhulme Small Research Grant (2015-16), and a Palgrave Macmillan Best Paper Award at the AIB-UK & Ireland Chapter Conference (2018).

She is interested in supervising PhD students who plan to pursue research in her current area of research or any related topics.
