New report on digital preservation released

Posted on 5 February 2016

A new report has been released detailing our work with the University of Hull to use Archivematica for the preservation of digital research data

The Borthwick Institute has been working on a project to investigate Archivematica for the preservation of research data.

This second phase of our "Filling the Digital Preservation Gap" project has focused on developing Archivematica to better enable it to work as part of a wider infrastructure for research data management. During this phase we have worked closely with Artefactual Systems to develop a number of new features within Archivematica. We have also produced detailed local implementation plans for Archivematica. Fuller details can be found in our latest report which is available to download here.

This project was a collaboration with the University of Hull and has been funded by Jisc as part of their Research Data Spring initiative.
