As of June 2022, there is a tourniquet located in the First Aid Box in Biology Mechanical Workshops B/G/004.

The tourniquet can be used by a trained first aider to control severe bleeding when bleeding cannot be controlled by direct pressure.

A properly applied tourniquet can safely limit blood loss and save a life whilst awaiting the emergency services. Emergency tourniquets can be quickly and easily applied, adjusted using the hook and loop strap and tightened using the windlass system allowing you to lock the tourniquet in place at the desired pressure.

Tourniquets should be applied 2 inches above the wound, secured and the time applied recorded or written on the tourniquet to inform emergency services upon arrival.

Once applied, tourniquets should only be removed by emergency services.
