Working Title: The Playwriting Process - A Practice-Based Enquiry into the Role of Experimental Playwriting in Challenging Patriarchal Dramaturgies

My research is practice-based, focusing on the process of experimental playwriting. I am exploring the role experimentation can play in developing anti-patriarchal and anti-capitalist dramaturgies for experimental theatre.

Biography

Biography

In 2021, I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Drama, Theatre & Performance Studies and Film from the University of Roehampton London. Upon graduation, I was awarded the Theatre Department´s Playwriting Prize. In 2022, I graduated with an MA in Dramaturgy from Birkbeck, University of London. Afterwards, I spent some time in Salzburg, Austria, where I worked as an Assistant Theatre Director. I officially began my PhD at the University of York in January 2024.
