Immersive Audio Production Techniques for the traditional Stereo Recording Engineer

My research thesis will seek to distil and democratise a high fidelity spatial recording and mixing workflow aimed at the non specialist stereo engineer with a particular emphasis on refining not only the definition of immersion but its measurement.

Owner of Church lane Studios, Recording Engineer and both a stereo and Dolby Atmos mixing engineer. Part Time Tutor on BA MASR and MA MPAC. Completed the MA Programme in Music Production and Audio Cultures at University of York 2025.

Presented the findings of my MA Dissertation 'Immersive Recording and Mixing of Renaissance Polychoral Works – Aesthetic and Technical Considerations ' at the Society of Music Production Research at the University of Victoria, BC Canada in September 2025.
