Departmental roles

  • First point of contact for queries relating to postgraduate programmes from prospective, current and past students and staff
  • Responsible for PT taught (and research (MRes, MPhil/PhD) programme administration and student support across the academic cycle, including admissions, induction, enrolment, student progression, student records, assessments, confirmation of marks & awards
  • Responsible for the administration and assessment arrangements for research programmes
  • Joint-Secretary to and member of School Teaching Committee (PGTC), Postgraduate Taught Board of Examiners Committee and PGR Committee

Main responsibilities

  • Masters students: admin support re progress and records
  • Admin support for PhD students, including co-ordinating Thesis Advisory Panels, progression and examination paperwork, arrangements for vivas
  • Postgraduate admissions
  • Management of International Team
  • Co-ordinating postgraduate Induction Week
