A wholly-owned subsidiary of the University of York, York Commercial Ltd (YCL) provides essential services with a clear purpose: profit for a cause. All redirected funds are reinvested into the University to improve facilities and the student experience across campus.

Re-established in 2012, the company (often referred to as Commercial Services) manages a diverse portfolio of commercially-driven sections that support the vibrant life of the University.
