Workstream 2:

What is the clinical and cost effectiveness of treatments used for open surgical wounds?

Within healthcare, decision makers often have to make treatment choices in the absence of good evidence regarding the relative costs and benefits of alternative treatment options.  In this workstream we will:

• Use data from workstream 1 to identify the treatments that are being used on open surgical wounds
• Draw all relevant research evidence together (evidence synthesis) and investigate how much treatments cost and whether any treatments work better than others
