50 years of Education at York: The Education Reunion

Friday 8 November 2013, 3.00PM to 8.00pm

This event is open to current students, staff and former students. The day will include talks, careers guidance, tours of the campus, a display on the history of the Department, and opportunities to socialise with former and current staff and students.

  • 3:00pm - Alumni registration in the Norman Rea Gallery. Drinks will be served and there will be an exhibition about the Department, including films, displays and music.
  • 3:40pm - Welcome address from the Head of the Department and the opportunity for alumni to attend short campus tours delivered by current students.
  • 4:00pm - Current students and invited guests will join the alumni for a plenary session in D/L/028.
  • 4:15pm - A selection of alumni will take part in a careers panel aimed at current students in D/L/028.
  • 5:15pm - Drinks and buffet reception for alumni and students in the Norman Rea Gallery.
  • 6:30pm - **Separate registraton required as detailed below** A public debate will take place on ‘Can education transform society?’ in D/L/028, including a panel of invited speakers and the opportunity for the audience to join in discussions.
  • 8:00pm - Close
