Enhancing the quality of lecturer-student interaction and discourse in seminar-based teaching

The presentation will focus on the role of talk as a pedagogical tool for engaging students in critical thinking and understanding in seminar discussions. It will draw on my recent research systematically observing lecturers across a range of subject disciplines.
