Speaker(s): Professor Gillian Hampden-Thompson, School of Education and Social Work, University of Sussex

Families’ perceptions of, and interactions with, schools and teachers can play an essential role in young people’s educational outcomes. This talk will combine two separate but related studies that both use data from the Longitudinal Study of Young People in England to determine the role of school-family relationships and parent’s school satisfaction and their association with educational achievement as well as exploring what factors predict parent satisfaction.
