Both the University and CHE aim to promote a safe, respectful and inclusive environment and we are committed to supporting staff with disabilities, fostering a culture of inclusivity, and promoting positive attitudes towards people with disabilities.
INCLUDE (Inclusive Network Connecting and Linking University Disabled Employees) is open to all staff with a disability, long-term condition or an interest in supporting the University in becoming more disability confident. They aim to be an inclusive, informative, encouraging and accessible network, and their objectives include sharing good practice, raising awareness, improving the experience of staff, and promoting the value of disabled talent. For more information, visit the INCLUDE website or email equality@york.ac.uk.
Students can get support and advice from the University’s Disability Centre. Further support is available from the Students Union and their Disabled Students Officers. There are weekly meetings held via the Disable Students Network - follow them on Facebook or Twitter for more details.
