1. How to get even better marks

Looking to move from good to even better in your academic work? Come to our online ‘From merit to distinction’ workshop on either Monday 15 or Tuesday 16 August for help in deciding where to focus your energies. If you are aiming high, you will get ideas for what markers might see in your work to convince them your work deserves that top grade. Register for the ‘From merit to distinction’ workshop.

2. ADVICE: Procrastination

Are you putting off that piece of work? We know that the pressures of university life can encourage procrastination and form mental blocks between you and starting work. For more help, read our top tips on beating procrastination.

3. What do you need from a new Student Centre?

The inside spaces of the proposed new Student Centre have not yet been finalised and we need your views on what’s important to you. What would make the most difference to your time at York? Complete the Student Centre feedback form.

4. Your old laptop can change someone’s life

Do you have a laptop or mobile device that you no longer use? The IT ReUse project aims to provide free refurbished computers and mobile devices to people in York. If you don’t have anything to donate, you can still get involved as a volunteer and learn skills in IT repair and configuration. Get involved in the York IT ReUse project.
