Introduction to research funding from the Wellcome Trust and the National Institute for Health Research

This seminar will provide an introduction to these funders for staff who have not applied before and are interested in finding out if their research can fit the funders' broad interests in improving health.

Speakers include successful grant holders from sociology and the health sciences, and the NIHR Research Design Service. The seminar will outline the extensive remit of the funders (focusing on social science opportunities) and provide practical tips and advice on successful applications.
