Making Sense of Voice Hearing

The aim of the conference is to provide opportunities to think about how we make sense of voice hearing, reflect on therapeutic practices and provide a platform for exploring approaches that assist voice hearers to live well with their voices.

It is open to voice hearers and their families/carers, practitioners, researchers and students from both the Department of Health Sciences and Department of Social Policy and Social Work.

There will be a particular critical focus on the following themes:

Understanding voice hearing and the relationships between voice hearers and their voices.
The extent to which voice hearers have agency with their voices.
The use of creative practices to express emotions related to voice hearing.
Effective collaboration between voice hearers, practitioners and researchers.
