My food - My decision: a Conference

The theme is about empowering people with nutrition knowledge to support their food-related choices. This includes, but is not restricted to:

  • Existing knowledge informing food choices
  • Methods of acquiring new nutrition knowledge
  • The key factors driving change around food choices
  • Nutrition education empowering children to make food choices

This is a Conference by students for students; the aim is to provide a platform for bringing together the community of postgraduate research students and early career researchers from various disciplines who are working on related topics. There are many benefits of attending and presenting at this one-day conference, including a friendly atmosphere for presentation, expanding your academic network, sharing ideas for research and collaboration, and a great friendly lunch!

Our two keynote speakers cover research and practice perspectives:

  • Get to hear from our very knowledgeable and renowned scholar and academic keynote speaker Prof. Bob Doherty, Principal Investigator on the IKnowFood Project at the University of York.

Participant presentations and poster presentations are invited. If you wish to present please submit a title and abstract (250 words maximum) by clicking conference presentation. The deadline for submitting abstracts is 10th May 2017 and those accepted will be confirmed by 19th May. Presentations can last from 5 to 10 minutes.
