Migration and the Arts of Social Change: The Work of Counterpoints Arts

Dr Áine O'brien and Almir Koldzic will be joining the UoY as Impact Acceleration Fellows and working with the Migration Network and the departments of Sociology and Politics around the themes of migration, the arts and culture. 
 
Join the UoY Mignet On Friday 25th November for a networking lunch at 12.30pm in the ReCSS training room, followed by a seminar with Counterpoints Arts who will be sharing their work, plans and hopes for the fellowship.

Counterpoints Arts are the lead arts organisation in the UK engaging with refugee and migrant experiences to support, produce and promote the arts. Their  strategic goals are to:support, develop and promote opportunities for artists from refugee and migrant backgrounds, as well as other artists producing innovative work in this field; develop participatory platforms; commission work; facilitate learning and knowledge exchange through collaborations with artists, educational organisations and civil society activists in the field of migrant and refugee rights.  http://counterpointsarts.org.uk/
