This event is aimed at local York schools and their staff and celebrates the close links the Department of Education has with schools. The guest speaker will be Charlie Taylor, the Chief Executive of the Teaching Agency and the National College for School Leadership, and former Coalition Government behaviour expert. He will be speaking on: 'Putting theory into policy and policy into practice: Current thinking on managing behaviour in schools'. The talk will be followed by an open Question and Answer session. You will be invited to submit a question for this session on registering for the event. The evening will conclude with a wine reception.

The event will start with a light buffet at approximately 4.00pm, with the talk beginning at 4.30pm and finish at approximately 7.15pm. Further details of the programme will be available here nearer the time and will be sent to all those who register for this event.
