Research

Overview

I have conducted four main types of research: research on the acoustic cues which listeners use to distinguish different phonemes in the English language; research on lipreading and audio-visual speech perception; research on the auditory processes that are used to attend to one source of sound when several sources are present simultaneously; and research on the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of cochlear implantation.
