Having finalized her PhD at King’s College London in the UK, Lot started working at the Psychology Department of the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands in September 2011 where she currently works as an Associate Professor at the department of Clinical Psychology. She is part of the Clinical PsychoPathology Lab chaired by Prof. Paul Boelen. Her research focusses on understanding anxiety and anxiety-related processes in adolescents and adults with anorexia nervosa. She conducts studies examining the effect of these anxiety processes on symptomatology and daily functioning of people with anorexia nervosa. In particular investigating how an intolerance for uncertainty, cognitive rigidity and social anxiety contribute to the development, maintenance and pathology of anorexia nervosa.
