- Katie Slocombe - VC Teaching Award in July 2010, Comenius Early Career Psychologist Award (2009) awarded by the European Federation of Psychologists Associations (EFPA) and the British Science Association Charles Darwin Award Lecture (2009)
- Annelies Vredeveldt - PG VC Teaching Award in July 2010
- Maggie Snowling - Distinguished Scientific Contributions Award, Society for the Scientific Study of Reading 2010
- Cynthia McDougall - Elected a Fellow of the Academy of Experimental Criminology
- Alan Baddeley - British Psychological Society Book Prize for Working Memory, Thought and Action.
- Beth Jefferies - Cortex Prize awarded by the Federation of European Societies of Neuropsychology (ESN) for "the best scientific output of European based neuropsychologists within 7 years from their PhD" in 2010.
