Student Wellbeing Officer

Who we are

The Wellbeing Team is here to provide wellbeing advice, support and guidance to students in the Faculty of Social Sciences. The Student Wellbeing Officer for Politics and International Relations and PPE is Sarah Cunnold.

Sarah Cunnold

I am a coach and mentor with over 20 years’ experience working with students in HE. I have a genuine interest in other people, and a particular focus on working with students around all aspects of university life. I try to be approachable, down to earth and holistic in my approach. Sometimes it helps to talk to someone in confidence and without fear of being judged. A Wellbeing Meeting offers a warm, confidential environment where you will be listened to and can begin to plan your next steps.

What I do

As a Wellbeing Officer, I do not provide counselling or therapy, I am here to listen, and to provide information, guidance and support. I aim to help you develop practical strategies to address the difficulties you might be experiencing, and work with you to explore options for managing your studies, as well as signposting you to other specialist services.

How to contact me

I am in Politics every Tuesday. My email address is Your supervisor and the Student Office can also make a referral to me on your behalf.  I will normally try to get back to you within two or three working days.
