Astray: Performance Storytelling

An evening of performance storytelling, proceeding from literary starting points: Cath Heinemeyer's "Sweeney Untethered" is working with Seamus Heaney’s Sweeney – Shuibhne – and Lara McClure's "Barry Lyndon: Lover, Liar, Turncoat" takes its cue from the eponymous hero of Thackeray’s novel. Both characters are fellows astray, both Irishmen ‘abroad’ in different senses of that word.

The Barberellas will perform songs of straying during the intermission.
