Costs and funding for Postregistration education (SSPRD and CPD)

We are now open to receive applications for modules for freestanding modules running in Semester 1 of the 2023/24 academic year.

There are a number of ways of funding your studies with us. Please see the information below and if you are unsure contact us.

You are employed by an organisation who is part of the Yorkshire and Humber Health Education England Region.

Costs for students eligible for funding via Health Education England (Yorkshire and the Humber) (HEE Y&H)

You may be eligible for funding from Health Education England. To be eligible:

  • You must work in an NHS trust, ambulance service or primary care organisation based within the Yorkshire and Humber Health Education England area
  • Funded places may be available by agreement with HEE Y&H to staff in the South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Tees Esk & Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust working in North Yorkshire.
  • Funded places may be available by agreement with HEE Y&H to nursing staff working in the prison service, justice service and hospices.
  • Funded places may be available to social services staff working in a healthcare environment or to staff in independent sector homes providing placements for pre-registration students from the University of York. This is agreed on a case-by-case basis.
  • You must have formal approval from your organisation’s Learning and Development team to access HEE Y&H funded places

If HEE Y&H funding is not available, you will have to look for alternative ways to fund your study eg: direct from your employer or self-fund.
