The UKBiobank is a national and international health resource with unparalleled research opportunities for health researchers around the globe. The large prospective cohort study provides resources for the investigation of the genetic, environmental and lifestyle determinants of a wide range of serious and life-threatening illnesses by assembling biological data and mental health assessments of over 500,000 volunteers, aged 40-69 (at intake) from the UK population.
