Laura Wiley
Research Fellow (Trial Coordinator)



Laura joined the York Trials Unit, Department of Health Sciences as a Research Fellow in 2018.

Previously Laura has worked on a number of randomised clinical trials within the Clinical Trials and Statistics Unit at the Institute of Cancer Research, London including trial coordination, data management and monitoring. Laura also has experience in public involvement research and working on randomised clinical trials within a hospital setting.

Currently Laura is working on a randomised clinical trial in proximal fractures of the humerus (PROFHER-2) assessing whether reverse shoulder arthroplasty is more effective than hemiarthroplasty and if these methods are more effective than non-surgical treatment.

Laura has experience in randomised clinical trials, quantitative and qualitative research methods and has a particular interest in data quality assurance.
