Biography

Kelly completed her BA (Hons) Sociology at the University of Nottingham, followed by her MSc Psychology (Conversion).

Following her graduation, she worked as an Activity Coordinator in the NHS on psychiatric adult acute inpatient wards in York.

Prior to moving to the university, Kelly worked in the NHS supporting the delivery of multiple studies including the MODS (Multi-morbidity in Older adults with Depression) Study and BASIL (Behavioural Activation for Social ISolation).

In her role within the Mental Health and Addiction Research Group, Kelly supports the delivery of the Community-based Behavioural Activation Training for Depression in Adolescents (ComBAT) Trial. Kelly also works within the Family Wellbeing Team in the Public Health and Society Research Group, supporting a mixed-methods evaluation of the acceptability, feasibility and impacts of prompts to explore the parent-infant relationship. Kelly is a member of the YH ARC Best Start steering group and the Institute of Mental Health Research at York (IMRY).
