Profile

Biography

On completion of her PhD, Helen first worked on The Human Genome Project at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Centre followed by the position of Head of Genotyping at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics in Oxford.

She then went on to manage the Scientific Support Department at Cambridgeshire Police for 13 years, before leaving to teach abroad for a couple of years. On her return she worked for the NHS, commissioning mental health services across North Yorkshire before joining the University.

Having worked as the Research Group Administrator for Public Health and Society for 5 years, Helen is now a Research Grants Finance Officer supporting both pre- and post-award administration for Health Sciences and HYMS research projects
