Profile
Biography
Hannah joined York Trials Unit in April 2024 and works as a Research Fellow on the
Elevate Study, a NIHR-funded project examining urgent emergency care innovations
in rural coastal areas.
Hannah is a sociologist, and her PhD (completed in 2023) explored the interaction
between voluntary first aid organisations and other healthcare organisational
structures within the ‘ecology of care’.
Her PhD, Master’s and BA Hons degree were all completed at Lancaster University.

Research
Overview
Hannah’s research interests include healthcare policy, healthcare organisational
studies, patient safety, third sector organisations and Science and Technology
studies. Hannah’s is particularly interested in using ethnographic methods in
examining policy changes in healthcare organisations.
