Biography

Charlie graduated with a MSci (Hons) in Mathematics from Lancaster University in 2021 and joined the York Trials Unit in March 2023 as a trainee statistician. He has worked on a variety of trials including mental health, surgical and wound care trials.

  • DIAMONDS - Improving diabetes self-management for people with severe mental illness
  • FINCH – A feasibility RCT of a Forest school intervention to improve the mental health of KS2
    children (aged 7-11).
  • HAMLET - A multicentre, two-arm, non-blinded, pragmatic, parallel group, randomised controlled superiority trial assessing the clinical and cost effectiveness of Through Knee Amputation (TKA) compared to Above Knee Amputation (AKA) in patients requiring major lower limb amputations (MMLA), but who are unsuitable for a Below Knee Amputation (BKA).
