York diabetes expert Anne Phillips receives National Teaching Fellowship award

Posted on 27 January 2017

Following an announcement in December 2016, Anne Phillips recently travelled to London to receive a National Teaching Fellowship.

Anne, who is a Senior Lecturer in Diabetes Care in the Department of Health Sciences, was delighted to be awarded the fellowship, one of the most prestigious individual awards for excellence in teaching in higher education.

She was among 55 higher education staff from institutions across the UK to travel to London yesterday to receive the award.

Anne said: "The award ceremony was a wonderful occasion to celebrate teaching at its best and share excellent ideas through the fellowship of national teaching fellows across the UK.  I am very grateful to the University of York and, in particular, Professor John Robinson and Cecilia Lowe for their considerable commitment and support in the pursuit of this esteemed Fellowship. This network of like-minded individuals now offers me inspiration for the next stage in my career."
