New Return to Practice cohort

Posted on 13 July 2015

A new Return to Practice cohort enjoyed an induction day at the Department of Health Sciences today.

The September 2015 cohort was welcomed to the department with a presentation on the changing context of healthcare and an overview of the programme.

They were introduced to staff from the Student Information Services and the Students' Union before hearing about student and patient safety and being shown the library and the Virtual Learning Environment, which they will use to complete their studies. Finally they met their personal supervisors and picked up their uniforms.

The Return to Practice programme is for former adult and mental health nurses who want to return to the nursing profession. It provides them with a flexible approach to fit in with their family life and individual circumstances.
