Autumn lecture - Professor Andrew Jack from the Department of Health Sciences will talk about making medicine more precise for patients with leukaemia and lymphoma

Patients with leukaemia and lymphoma differ greatly in their response to current treatments. The aim of precision medicine is target treatment based on knowledge of the specific characteristics of the tumour cells. Advances in diagnostic technologies and the availability of many new drugs is at last making this a goal that may be realized in the near future.
