Nursing lecturer wins Supervisor of the Year award

This is the sixth year that the University of York Students’ Union (YUSU) has invited students to nominate the ‘Supervisor of the Year’.
Steph won the award because of the wonderful range of supportive statements in the nomination, which included:
“She is an incredibly supportive supervisor who is always there for her students and takes time to sort out issues and just listen. She is confident in our abilities even when we are not!”
“Her support, professionalism and compassion is inspirational and I couldn’t think of a person more deserving of this award.”
The Department also won the award for Excellence in Teaching and Supervision at the YUSU teaching awards ceremony last night for our 'outstanding contribution to student engagement'.
