Have you ever wondered how health research is carried out?

Thursday 5 April 2018, 10.00AM to 12.00pm

Speaker(s): Sarah Cockayne and Sara Rodgers, researchers from the Department of Health Sciences

At the University of York we carry out lots of different research studies, looking at questions such as “how can we prevent falls in older people?” and “how can we help people to stop
smoking?”

If you are interested in finding out how we answer these types of questions, come along to meet Sarah Cockayne and Sara Rodgers, researchers from the Department of Health Sciences at the
University of York to find out more.

They will be talking about:

  • why we do research within Health Sciences
  • the kind of research that we undertake
  • how we find out if something works
  • what happens after the research has ended
  • how you can get involved.
