Two presentations will take place that will be useful to anyone with an interest in PPI, including researchers, project administrators, lecturers in nursing and research, nursing and research students.

"Patient and Public Involvement in the research cycle” - Delia Muir, PPI Lead, Yorkshire and Humber Research Design Service.

"Challenging Expectations - how to set some ground rules for involvement to make it worthwhile for us all" Derek Stewart, Associate Director for PPI at the National Institute for Health Research for the Clinical Research Network (NIHR CRN).

13:00 to 14:30 Committee launch (ARRC foyer)

  • Drop in and meet members of the PPI Committee;
  • Find out about the Research and Design Service and how they can help you with PPI
  • Try out, and feed back on, the new PPI website
  • Help shape the committee’s future work by telling us: 
    • What your PPI needs are
    • Any organisations and networks with whom we should make links
    • Examples of your own good PPI practice
    • What PPI skills you have and would be willing to share.
