Biography
Rachael is the Capacity Building Research Associate within the Department of Health Sciences at the University of York and is part of the core team for the NIHR Yorkshire and Humber Applied Collaboration. She works across the Yorkshire and Humber Region to support research capacity and capability development within health and care organisations.
Before joining the University of York, Rachael worked in a range of nursing, tissue viability, leadership and quality improvement roles within the NHS. This included NHS England's National Wound Care Strategy Programme and the Health Innovation Network. Her experience spans clinical practice, service development and the implementation of evidence-based approaches to improving care at scale.
Rachael's current role focuses on supporting health and care professionals to engage with and lead research within their organisations. She has a particular interest in creating opportunities for practitioners to become involved in research and in strengthening links between academia and practice.

Overview
Rachael is part of the Core Team at NIHR ARC Yorkshire and Humber. Her role is focused on research capacity development, working alongside Sarah Blower and Sam Debbage.
