Biography

Judy joined the Department Support Hub in March 2026.  Reporting to the Administration Manager, Judy provides additional support to colleagues in areas such as HR, procurement, facilities management, website maintenance and event coordination. 

Career

I began my career at a local accountancy firm in York before transitioning to Redfern National Glass (formerly located on the current Novotel site), in an administration role. Building on this experience, I joined the printing firm Ben Johnson/RR Donnelley & Co., specialising in HR administration. I relocated to London and entered the retail sector with Revlon Cosmetics as a HR administrator. This was followed by a move into the financial and consulting sectors, where I spent several years at Arthur Andersen and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), focusing on HR and recruitment administration.

On returning to York I secured an administration position within the NHS. My most recent role there was as a Waiting List Coordinator, a highly varied and challenging position.

I am now eager to apply my extensive administrative background to my new role as Department Support Hub Administrator in Health Science.
