Updates (PIVO staff)

Practice Assessor and Practice Supervisor updates are now available to staff. Practice Assessors should complete an annual update to ensure they remain up-to-date in their roles of support to students. These updates are available to our Private, Independent and Voluntary Organisation (PIVO) placements. Trust staff can access updates via their Practice Education Teams.

The updates we provide include an update of the NMC Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment (NMC, 2018) details of student assessment and documentation in Pebblepad, opportunities to discuss examples or queries in practice and how to raise and respond to concerns.

The updates can be accessed remotely via Zoom and provide staff with 2 hours CPD.

The next updates will be:

• Tuesday 20 October 2026, 10am to 12 noon
• Tuesday 19 January 2027, 1pm to 3pm
• Thursday 15 April 2027, 10am to 12 noon
• Monday 28 June 2027, 1pm to 3pm
• Tuesday 19 October 2027, 10am to 12 noon
